YouTube – Oprah Denies Christ

YouTube – Oprah Denies Christ

This is so upsetting to me. How can Oprah believe that all roads lead to God? Didn’t she say she grew up in church, talking about Jesus at the age of 3? Now, she is leading millions astray by her crazy “all roads” beliefs. I am so very thankful that the Christ-following lady was there and knew how to defend the faith. I love that Oprah says she isn’t going to get into a “religious” debate with her. That is because Oprah couldn’t shut this lady down. Good for you, lady! Those of you who are reading this please lift up a prayer for Oprah’s salvation.

Dog Tales…..

Okay, first let me say that my husband is not an animal lover. He only had cats growing up and didn’t really care much for them and especially not in the house.  I ,on the other hand, had dogs and cats all the time and they were always indoor pets. We were constantly taking in strays and treated them like part of the family! Well, my point in telling you all of this is Derek wants to get a dog for the kids for Christmas (as a surprise). Can you believe it? He wants it to be a inside dog too. WOW! Talk about a shocker when he told me what he was thinking! I have been looking at a Malti-poo and a Yorkie-poo. I want something small that doesn’t shed. Here is where you all come in. I need some ideas for names, one for each gender. I don’t want anything like princess, snowball, fluffy, etc., something different.  I would love to hear your ideas and if you know anything, good or bad, about any breeders around here let me know.

I just don’t understand!

It seems like every time you turn around, someone has cancer. It hurts my heart when I hear about another person who is battling this ugly disease. It’s such a terrible illness. My friend back home, Linda, her mom died of breast cancer several years ago. I remember walking in the hospital room to see Linda and there lay her mom. She looked like a skeleton. I had grown up around this woman and I did not recognize her at all. In fact, I thought I was in the wrong room. Cancer is no respector of persons. The elderly get it, the middle-aged get it and even children get it. No one knows how we get it. Is it in food we are eating? Is it in our soda’s? Is it in our water? People who have never touch carcinogens get it. It’s a mystery! One day we will know, though. Today, I got a little bit of a different perspective of it. Is cancer around to make us long for our new body, our home in Glory? Maybe so……

Rain and God

Okay, so after I blogged last night, I went to do my devotion and look what it said, “O my child, I love you, I love you. Go to the hills and look, for lo, the rain is coming. The drought is over and past, and the sound of rain approaches!” Is that not awesome?

Why?

Ok, here I am. SARAH, you will be happy! I know it’s been a long time. My life has been nuts lately. I think I have over scheduled my calendar this month.

Can anyone answer this question for me:     Why is there no rain? Why are other parts of the US getting rain?  Someone said in my CG today that God was trying to get our attention. Why is He using rain or the lack thereof to do that? Why IS it so hot? Why are we breaking record temperatures this summer? Some would say Global Warming, nah, I don’t believe in that. That’s a bunch of liberal hoo ha!

Okay, here is another one, why did the TN ministers wife get a slap on the wrist for shooting her husband in the back? And what about Princess Diana? Was her death really planned by the powers that be in England to keep her from defaming the throne’s name?

That’s all I got tonight.

Did you miss me?

My computer has been down for a week or so and I have been out of sorts. I can not imagine how people survive without computers. I love mine! In fact, I like it even more now because I have this itunes program and I can download all my favorite music and listen to it while sitting here. Can I just tell  you I love music from the 80’s, like Vanilla Ice, Lionel Richie, Kool and the Gang and MC Hammer! I bet that will shock some of you.  I also like 90’s and some disco from the late 70’s? I know this really tells my age, doesn’t it?  Now, don’t get me wrong, I love contemporary christian too. What is your favorite song?  Favorite group? Isn’t it fascinating the effect that music can have on a person? It can stir great emotion in a person. For instance, how do you feel when you hear the song, Endless Love? Or, Celebration by Kool and the Gang? What about when you hear Great is Thy Faithfulness? Music is such a gift!

My mission work

Okay, so I thought since I couldn’t go to Turkey with the ladies that I would try to minister to them and help out their left behind families by feeding them. So, I told a friend’s husband that I would make Sunday lunch for he and the boys.  Last night I put a roast with carrots and potatoes in my somewhat new Rival crockpot and let it cook all night. I awoke to the pleasant odor of pot roast. Yummy! I checked it and everything looked marvelous! Oh, was this friend going to be blessed by me! As I was getting ready to leave the house and take the roast with me, I checked it again and lo and behold, the lid was shattered. Well, the glass fell into the roast. I couldn’t serve this to my friend! What was I to do?  My mind raced with thoughts of a solution to this dilemma while trying to get 4 kids and myself out the door and to church on time. Then, my mind went to “why is this happening?  Why today? Why me? Why when I am trying to minister to a family?” Guess what I heard(not audibly)? Are you going to let this steal your joy? Are you going to let this hinder your worship today? Wow!  I am not sure yet what all this means, but let me tell you, I went and bought “them” some roast with sides from Jaybird’s.  Mission completed…just not how I thought it was going to be done!

Home again, home again, jiggity jig

Do you like going home? I have mixed emotions about it. It is nice to see family and  friends and see how the place has changed since I left, but that is the city I lived my life before Christ, so it comes with tough memories. I always think I am going to run into an old boyfriend or someone who knew me before Christ. Ugghhh! Oh, that I could go back and make some different choices! One day, though, going home will no longer have that affect on me because it will be my final home, my home that the Lord is preparing for me!
