Dog Tales…..

Okay, first let me say that my husband is not an animal lover. He only had cats growing up and didn’t really care much for them and especially not in the house.  I ,on the other hand, had dogs and cats all the time and they were always indoor pets. We were constantly taking in strays and treated them like part of the family! Well, my point in telling you all of this is Derek wants to get a dog for the kids for Christmas (as a surprise). Can you believe it? He wants it to be a inside dog too. WOW! Talk about a shocker when he told me what he was thinking! I have been looking at a Malti-poo and a Yorkie-poo. I want something small that doesn’t shed. Here is where you all come in. I need some ideas for names, one for each gender. I don’t want anything like princess, snowball, fluffy, etc., something different.  I would love to hear your ideas and if you know anything, good or bad, about any breeders around here let me know.

Seriously…he wants to get a dog!?!? I really can’t believe it…The kids are going to be so excited!!! You could name a male dog Samson (which would be cute especially for a little dog..big name, little dog) and you could name a female dog Delilah or Daisy…I will keep thinking and let you know if I come up with anything ingenious:) Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!

Ronda – we had a Maltese – they truly do not shed are great dogs – usually girls are more hyper, and boys are calmer. Winnie cost more than either of our children – but she was well worth the money. As she got older (10 years old) – Ryan was just too rough for her and she was really stressed all the time – hid under the bed most of the day. She now lives with my parents and is very content to sit in their laps and is enjoying the peace and quiet. I am sure your children could come up with some names for you :) .
